And the plea closed the door on othe abuses which were being looked into. However, his "legal" actvities such as providing $200 million of NY State Common Reirement Fund dollars as the anchor investment in a start up fund begun by the husband of a California woman who contributed $100,000 to his campaign is at least as corrupt and venal as the abuse for which Hevesi was convicted.
